Riverfront Park. Click the links below to view the poster and contest information.

The Humane Society of Northeast Florida,
Inc. would like to thank the many people who helped us with our 2009 Pet Fest. We could not have pulled
this off without the help of our contest sponsors: Hard Rock Materials, Sunshine Trophies, Beck Auto Group, Wayne & Julie
McClain Family Foundation, Houseboat Rentals, Crill & Palm Veterinary Hospital, Shelton Veterinary
Clinic, Palatka Elks Lodge 1232, Animal Health Center, Animal Medical Clinic, Good Earth Realty & Auction, Kennedy Rehabilitation,
and Love Your Pets. Also, our master of ceremonies (Len Freeman), Father Ignatius Plathanam from St. Monica
Church, our judges (John and Judy Jones, Barbara Fisher and Linda Myers), accountants (John Rowe and Susan Frank from Davis
Monk & Company), animal welfare partners (Karl’s Kids, Animal Services and the Health Department), Dunkin Donuts,
members/volunteers, and the local residents who braved the rain that morning to take part in the festivities with their pets.
A big thanks too to the City of Palatka Parks & Recreation Department and the City support services.
Lastly, we'd like to thank the local newspapers and radio stations for their coverage before and after the event.
Although we all got a little wet, the day turned out to be a lot of fun. We found new homes for
5 of our shelter animals, introduced our new spay and neuter voucher program, brought a number of pets up-to-date on their
vaccinations, microchipped a few more, made over $3,000 to help fund our operations, and enjoyed a great pet show/contest
on what turned out to be a lovely day at the Palatka Riverfront Park.
