Adoptions/Mobile Unit Schedule

We have some really fabulous animals.  Our adoptions are affordable, and our animals are well cared for.  Stop by the Shelter from Tuesday through Sunday, 8:00 - 5:00 to meet your new best friend!.

Our Mobile Adoption Unit allows us to reach out to the community to find the best homes for our beloved animals, from Keystone Heights to Daytona, from St. Johns County to Gainesville, even Ocala...and all around Putnam County.

If there's a festival in the area, we may just be there.  Call us at 386-325-1587 if you'd like us to come to your church event, employee picnic, festival, etc.  We need a good access road (and directions!), some shade, grass, and access to bathrooms for our staff.

Our typical schedule follows:

Saturday    St. Johns Flea Market in St. Johns County
Saturday PETCO in Gainesville, West Newberry Rd, 11-4
Sunday  Pet Smart in Ocala
Saturday Sept 12th St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Hwy 17 just south of Crescent City
Saturday Sept 26th Huge Community Yard Sale at Beck Chevrolet on Hwy 17 in Palatka 
SaturdayOctober 31st HOWL-O-WEEN pet parade, costume contest and adopt-a-thon at the Putnam County Courthouse on St. Johns Ave in downtown Palatka

We have had a great time doing our adoptions at PETCO and we've found fabulous homes for over 20 dogs and cats there in just a few months.  The adopters are all thoughtful, caring people.  They really take their time and try to get to know their new best friend before making that final decision.   Customers often volunteer to help us by walking the dogs.  It's never a problem finding people to hold the animals while we set up or take down. 

The employees are great too!  They help us in so many ways to accomplish our goal of finding the best new home for our animals.  The groomers in the Pet Salon are always willing to pamper our pets, and send them on their way smelling just as sweet as they are!  "Hats off" to all of the PETCO employees and management.

Stop by when you're in the neighborhood (see map below).  We have a bulletin board with just a few of our adopters and babies.  We also have a donation bin.  (We share the donations with another rescue also there on Saturdays.)  AND,
IF IT'S A SATURDAY, YOU MAY JUST FALL IN LOVE!!
